Family Citizenship Issues
The German immigration law

Germany enables the spouse and dependent children of foreign nationals – holding either a residence permit with the entitlement to work or a settlement permit – to migrate to Germany for the purpose of family reunion. However, the family reunion of third-country nationals can only occur after certain conditions have been met: German immigration laws require sufficient housing and financial support for all accompanying family members and also further preconditions apply to the different family members (language ability, educational background, etc.).
